About Us

Louie came to us through a South Korean rescue, braving a 10-hour flight from Incheon to Seattle. We didn’t know much about his past, but he arrived with so much curiosity and love. He fit perfectly into our lives and instantly became our best friend. However, we also quickly learned Louie was an anxious pup around many outside noises and was reactive to sudden sounds and larger dogs. 

To improve his quality of life, we jumped into positive reinforcement training, which meant using lots of high value treats—though, to be honest, some weren’t the healthiest. We soon noticed he was gaining weight, which is especially concerning for a dog of his stature (short legs!). When we looked for healthier alternatives, we came up short. Frustrated, we dove into research, ended up buying a dehydrator, and started making our own treats for everyday training. Along with that, came the idea that fun and creativity can blossom through healthy snacks. 

We only feed Louie the best, and now we do the same for our customers. Louie's Chewies recipes are made with high-quality, crafted with human-grade ingredients, are minimally processed, and made with no added sugar or salt. Most of our treats are dehydrated raw at low temperatures—that’s it!

As a pet parent, I’m deeply aware of the limited time we have with our pets. Treats are a way to strengthen bonds, and we hope Louie's Chewies can help make your time with your pets even more memorable and special.
